Project description
Virgen Macarena Hospital is located in Av Dr. Fedriani, 3 in Seville, it is a third level hospital which influence area is Western Andalusia: Seville and Huelva. The 77,685 m2 building has got eight floors and two basement floors. Ingho has been contracted by the hospital to perform a energy audit on the most critical facilities regarding energy consumption: air handling units, pumps for the water distribution and thermal production units: chillers, boilers and solar collectors for hot water production.
Results
Several measures have been identified and analized for the hospital. The obtained results from simulations during a full-year show an estimated energy savings over 14% for electricity and 8% fro natural gas. In other hand, the planned measures for solar collectors facilities will increase the demand coverage of hot water over 25%. The results from the measures are translated in a relevant economical ebnefit and a CO2 emissions reduction about 1.207 ton CO2/year.
