Project description
Axarquía County Hospital, located in Velez Málaga, belongs to Servicio Andaluz de Salud and it is integrated in the management area of East of Málaga-Axarquía, the hospital services a population over 150.000 inhabitants from 27 municipalities The hospital, in collaboration with Agencia Andaluza de la Energía, aiming at reducing electricity and natural gas consumption, contracted INGHO to design a new installation for the production of hot water based on thermal solar collectors, the installation of more efficient thermal production units and start the operation of a cogeneration central.
Results
This project has combined the implementation of renewable energy sources with an increase in the performance of the thermal production equipment, the project also has faced improvement measures over the control system to gurantee the optimal performance of the equipment. INGHO worked close to technical services of the hospital to ensure that the new design guarantee the best energy efficiency and optimized operation and maintenance cost.
