Project description
The Hospital Civil of Malaga belongs to Hospital Regional Universitario de Málaga, the building is equipped wtih a former clinical research lab located on floor -1, which was expanding in a haphazard way as the hospital required more functionality. The Hospital proposed to build a new laboratory. The new laboratory facilities have been located in the same floor but it was expanded with adjacent areas. Since the original building began its construction in 1862, the structural characteristics and type of construction are different, as modification have been carried out in the along the time, this fact complicates the search for technical solutions to respond to the requirements of a modern laboratory.
Results
Teamwork has been the key to sucess in this project, a close relation with technical managers in hospital and architects allow to design a laboratory equipped with excellent facilities adapted to restrictions and requirements. INGHO developed the project of all center facilities: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, control, communications, gases and fire protection.
