Project description
San Juan de Dios Hospital in Cordoba belongs to San Juan de Dios Order hospitals network, the building is located in an important residential area of Cordoba (Spain). INGHO developed the engineering project for all the facilities: HVAC, electricity, plumbing, control, communications, medical gases and fire protection.
Results
Success in the integration of an old and new building facilities, both installations had to co-exist to guarantee the activity in the affected area. This project is a complex construction becuase the refurbishment and extension is developed while the hospital is running in the same place, the influence on the activity should be reduced at minimum, this requirement made both, design and execution of the works, quite challenging. The work planning had to be coordinated with the technical services of the hospitals, so that their activities are not stopped. Obviously this fact affects both the architecture and facilities, forcing to work in a more integrated way.
