Project description
Danfoss is a multinational manufacturer of mechanical and electronic components that allow to improve the performance of the HVAC system. Danfoss was interested in evaluating how their different product solutions can be integrated under a cross-sectional approach to a hotel. Ingho has developed a study on a hotel of 75 rooms with 5500 m2 built located in Madrid and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria to analyze, through the definition of different scenarios, the energy consumption of the hotel in a typical year. The simulations have been done with Energy + and EES.
Results
Ingho has evaluated how the application of different energy efficiency measures using Danfoss technology applied to a hotel can achieve reductions in primary energy consumption and CO2 emissions above 40%. The simulations in different locations with very different climates has also helped Danfoss to focus the commercial messages to improve the market penetration for their products.
