Project description
The Pleidades is a building that houses the laboratory for multidisciplinary research center in biosciences of the University of Murcia, integrating different disciplines such as bioinformatics, green chemistry, systems biology, clean technologies, animal and plant production, processes with images and reconstructions 3D, genomics and proteomics. It is a modular and flexible building with support areas for specific research areas. Its interior design responds to the objective of favoring the interrelation between the different groups of researchers and facilitating the complementarity and collaboration between the different scientific disciplines. INGHO developed the engineering project of all the facilities of the center: HVAC, electricity, plumbing, control, gases, communications and fire protection.
Results
To guarantee the complementarity between the facilities, they were designed with criteria of modularity and flexibility, coexisting the criteria of energy efficiency and operation with the needs of activity in the center.
