Project description
AL SALAM hospital is a 76.566 m2 building equipped with 460 beds and a 31.317 m2 parking area. It is located in the city of Al Khobar (Saudi Arabia) and will services the following cities: Dammam, Khobar and Dhahran. It is privated owned speciality hospital promoted by Saudí At-Othman holding. This hospital complies with the most challenging international standards of quality in hospital sector, the building has been designed in BIM and low environmental impact solutions have been proposed to unify functionality, quality and environmental impact concern.
Results
This is a good example of how BIM methodology helps to reduce delivery time and improve the quality of the project deliverables. Besides, different soutions have been implemented focused on reducing energy consumption and use materials with lower environmental impact.
